GINGIVAL HYPERTROPHY

Gingival hypertrophy is an abnormal overgrowth of gingival tissue.
It is also called as gingival enlargement or gingival hyperplasia.
It is often symptom of poor oral hygiene or a side effect of using certain medications

Causes of gingival hypertrophy
Gingival overgrowth is often caused by inflammation.
It can also be drug induced, as a side effect of prescribed medication.

  4. Gingivectomy- It includes surgical removal of gum tissue or gingiva.

    ⦁ Mix 1 teaspoon of salt and add lukewarm water.
    ⦁ Rinse your mouth with this saltwater solution for 30 seconds.
