This can be complete, such as completely unerrupted (buried) third\nmolars (wisdom teeth) or partial when just part of the tooth is visible in the\nmouth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For best function and appearance the teeth should grow in\na healthy alignment. When one or more teeth is impacted, this can affect the\nfunction of that tooth but also the function and appearance of other teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestorthodontistbracespune.in\"> impacted teeth<\/a> are not treated, some can lead to medium and long-term problems such as decay, infection, gum disease and dental cysts &#8211; but these can all be watched out for by dentists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, every adult has two canine teeth in each upper\nand lower jaw. They are the &#8216;pointier&#8217; eye teeth (&#8216;fangs&#8217; in animals) that are\nin line with the corner of your mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children also have the same number of canine teeth but\nthese will normally be shed when the adult (permanent) teeth replace them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canine teeth are more important than some other teeth for\nthe correct function of the teeth and also for appearance. This is why dentists\nand orthodontists like to correct their position if possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What can go wrong with canine\nteeth?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, because of the way teeth grow in the jaws and\ngums, one or both canine teeth develop in the wrong position for normal\nappearance or function. For example, they might erupt in the wrong position or\nnot at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dentists and orthodontists usually detect a problem with\nthe canine teeth in children around the ages of 10-14 years, which is a time\nwhen they will recommend treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The treatment options for impacted or misplaced canines will depend on the type and severity and the alignment of other teeth.
